A very helpful analysis, thank you. Alliteration isn't exactly funny but I use it quite a lot in my Daily Paradox articles and it seems to connect and communicate well. There is another point about humour that I find important - shock. Not nasty, rude statements but surprise because unexpected. I told someone who was having an 'argument' with AI recently that they would have learnt more if they had replied "that's not what your brother told me yesterday". All best, John
