Thank you for this newsletter. I'm wondering if you haven't read our book: 'The Power of AWE' by Jake Eagle and Dr. Michael Amster. It is the book written about finding AWE in ordinary things with lots of experiences to try (which I wrote) in the last three chapters. It was also our study (with the help of Dacher Keltner) that your article refers to. I think you might find it enlightening, interesting, and even fun.
Has there been any research done on ex-pats experiencing these awe walks more? Living in Vienna for the last 3+ years, I can’t help but experience the beauty and ties to a very long project towards human flourishing. Not everyone appreciates this. And it’s easy to do in any town in the world. But I would think statistically it might be easier in some places more than others.
