Breaking the Stigma w/ Mayim Bialik and Jonathan Cohen
I nerded out with the Big Bang Theory star and her co-host about psychology, parenting, and spirituality.
I had a great discussion with the multitalented Mayim Bialik and her co-host Jonathan Cohen. You might know Mayim as the star of Blossom and The Big Bang Theory, or as the former host of Jeopardy!, but she’s also a neuroscientist with a PhD from UCLA and the creator of the popular mental health podcast Mayim Bialik’s Breakdown.
Jonathan Cohen, her co-host and co-creator, is a writer, poet, and futurist with a passion for storytelling, technology, and mindfulness. Together, they share a deep commitment to shifting the conversation around mental health and emotional well-being.
In this discussion we discussed our shared interest in the psychology of spirituality, the power of authentic storytelling, and their mission to break down the stigma surrounding mental health. This conversation dives into everything from neuroscience to pop culture, offering a fresh perspective on what it means to thrive in today’s world.

Scott: I've just listened to your podcast with Mayim and Jonathon. I chose to listen to it because they're psychologists. Me too. I was bored. Mayim's ADHD-type, frenetic mind sounded good but lacked depth & focus. Did you zone out too? You took a few moments to re-join the 'discussion' once she actually stopped talking. Please Scott, guide your guests to give us more substance and fewer words.
China sees that 65% of us are obese and have or will have fatty liver; diabetes; metabolic syndrome; high blood pressure, etc. etc. NOW they will find out we are mentally a mess. Good news is when China is #1 which is soon and their battle to reclaim their importance after the 100 Years of Humiliation is won, they will leave us as a nation of victims and invalids to just devolve and die sooner. So that's why we talk about LONGEVITY so we can distract ourselves from our impending decline.
