Hi friends,
I have some exciting news I’ve been sitting on for a while!
After 12 years and 478 episodes, The Psychology Podcast has become the Human Potential Lab. I’m back!
The questions I care about have moved. What is a mind? What makes something conscious? What happens to being human when the things we build start to look like minds themselves? Too much of that work is happening out of public view, by people most of us never get to hear from. I want to bring the frontier into the open and have conversations with the scientists, philosophers and technologists whose work is actively deciding the future of humanity.
The first three episodes drop on October 28, with cognitive scientist Cameron Berg, biologist Michael Levin, and philosopher L.A. Paul. After that, a new episode will come out every other Wednesday.
Here’s the trailer:
The one thing I’d love you to do today: follow the show wherever you listen, so the first three episodes are waiting for you on the 28th. It takes five seconds, and early follows make a huge difference in getting a new show noticed.
If you were already subscribed to The Psychology Podcast, you don’t need to do anything. It’s the same feed, just a new name.
The full show notes and transcripts for every episode will live at humanpotential.co but I will also be announcing that here as well as they publish.
Thank you for sticking with me all these years. These might be the most important questions of our lifetime, and I’d love for you to explore them with me. I can’t wait for you to hear what we’ve been making.
Warmly,
Scott

Great news! I look forward to listening as I learned so much from your earlier podcast.
Best of luck to you, Mary Ann (aka Mrs. Gee)
Very excited for this! I listened to TPP the last 10+ years, loved it and am excited about this new chapter!
