Thank you for every bit of information you provided to all laymen....globally! As you say, it is a pity that so much does not reveal itself out of the peer-reviewed literature and you managed to break this fence while still keeping the scientific part intact and..... managing all this in an entertaining way! Keep us informed about your next project.
Scott - your podcast was life changing for me. Your interview with Lisa Feldman Barrett (How Emotions are Made) led me to my all-time favorite book and my understanding and experiences
of being human. The podcast space is currently very crowded, as you said, and your 10+ year contribution to the human journey that we all experience has been invaluable. I will keep track of your continuing contributions in whatever form they take. Be well.
SBK! You will be missed. I’ve been listening for so long I can’t remember when I started. You helped fill my newly retired hours with knowledge. I can say without a doubt that I have gained so much knowledge and insight from you and your guests along the journey. You helped make psychology accessible when no one else was even trying. Thanks for bringing laughter and light hearted banter, without the high brow arrogance, while still teaching us something new. I love that you bring research to the masses in a way that even I can grasp 😆 Hope you’ll come back one day. Until then wishing you joy and happiness.
As a latecomer to your work, your depth, breadth, humulity & fun will be very much missed. Thank you so much for everything you've contributed to our field. Wishing you well during your reassessment time.
Your podcasts have been very insightful. The focus on individual potential and wellbeing brought new knowledge to my work on organizational behavior and leadership decision making. Change is part of growth and development. I will miss the weekly routine and continual stream of knowledgeable and interesting people.
I was a pretty early listener to this podcast and have listened to every single episode. I shared a few exchanges with Scott and treasure them because I came to love all the insights he brought to me to rough his writing and podcasting. Thank you so much for sharing your talents with us Scott! I look forward to seeing what you recharge to do next.
That’s amazing to me. If you ever want to spend some of your recharge time in Vienna at the opera, Sigmund Freud museum, or Viktor Frankl museum, my offer to show you around still stands! : )
Thank you so much for this podcast, which I’ve listened to off and on over the years, always learning something new. You made psychology come alive, reminded me of some things I learned in psych classes, and taught me a lot more. It’s so important to get these lessons out to general audiences. Your effort to do that has been successful!
Thank you Scott, not only do I find you to be an inspiration in personality and authenticity, but you brought so many new ideas and wonderful books to my life through your own writings and the people you interviewed! I’ll be keeping tabs on you for sure to see what’s next! Did mark manson changing his podcast as well have any influence on your decision making?
Thank you SBK for all your curious thought-provoking discussions. You have done a wonderful job sharing fascinating advances in psychology in an accessible and quirky way!
Thank you so much, Scott, for all that you have given us over the years. My husband and I follow your work and are big fans. We applaud you for taking time, although we we will very much miss The Psychology Podcast, and look forward to seeing what your next chapter brings. All the best to you!
Thanks for your contributions to the discourse in psychology. It's so fun to geek out about all the cool topics you cover. Looking forward to the next chapter (for both of us!).
Awwwww, Scott! I've been listening to you since your first podcast episode. . .back in the day when less competition meant it was easier to find stellar podcasts. In 2014, I was one year into co-owning and co-operating a bakery with a dear friend of mine, and we looked forward to your new episodes and would listen at the first drop as we baked. We LOVED your original theme music and absolutely adored your personality and aggressive curiosity - we felt like you were our friend. I appreciate how you aren't a "yes man" when it comes to interviews; you go deep and you challenge your guests. It's obviously an honor for folks to be interviewed by you, but it's as much an honor to listen to you. All this to say, THANK YOU. Thank you for being such a substantial part of our lives.~ Trilety
As a psychologist, I listened to learn and love your way with guests, the thoughtful questions, clear research and insight. It’s helped my practice (me and one of my clients used Transcend as a reference and guide through our two year consultation!). Interested to follow what you do next. What a library of conversations to leave us all.
Thank you for your many years of fascinating conversations. You've led me, and I assume many others to fascinating avenues of self study. I have also loved learning about the Abraham Maslow as well. You've given so much, thank you again.

Thanks!! No, my buddy Mark didn't have an influence on this decision although I'm proud of him and what he has built!
